Arte
STATEMENT
My work attempts, through plane and volume, to generate objects that defy the perception of the viewer. It’s about optical and/or kinetic works that consider in their configuration, mainly, space, color and light (natural and artificial) and, sometimes, movement.
The geometry, as well as the impersonal manufacturing (industrial), largely determine the appearance of my work being, in some way, a critical remark about the new technologies and their presence in our environment (usually urban), as well as a clear technical option that would allow, among others, to make art today. These interests come, probably, from my training as an architect.
The viewer, the main protagonist of my works, is the one who activates and puts at stake these variables, assuming a dynamic and contemplative position. That's the invitation.
